Lourdes Castillo, ELP ‘92, was born and raised in Southern California. She studied engineering at the California State University in Northridge and obtained her Masters of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California in Berkeley. Lourdes worked as a Radio Frequency Engineer designing and launching cellular systems abroad realizing her childhood dreams of living in other countries. Nearly 10 years ago, Lourdes made a transition from engineering to entrepreneurship, retailing medical equipment that applies principles from Oriental medicine with Western technology using Far Infrared Rays for the principle of heat such as is used in moxibustion. Recently, she added BioCell Collagen to her distribution line after observing the effects it had on her clients. At the present time, Lourdes is pursuing a certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles in Transformational Leadership in Health Care and hopes to be an advocate for health in the Latino community.
